New version of Facad is released, version 3.16

The new Facad version 3.16 is now released.

This software version has been developed as a medical device according to MDR, and thus is CE marked in risk class I according to Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (MDR) Annex II.

Facad version 3.16 is adapted to Windows 11, just like versions 3.13 and 3.14 were.

AI placement of landmarks, tissues and profile line

It is possible to activate the AI functionality in Facad, which is an AI trained marker positioning method called BoneFinder, developed by The University of Manchester.

  • Automatic marker placement, using the tool Place marker.
  • Placement of multiple tissue items and the profile line, using the new tool Auto tissue.

Superimposition

  • Smooth image movement when moving and rotating two superimposed x-ray images
  • Simpler method for viewing different tracings and x-rays
  • Superimposition legends (explanations)

Miscellaneous

  • New keyboard accelerator F to show and activate the profile photo
  • A few minor bugs have been corrected in this software version

Technical requirements

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 is required for the Facad program to work.
  • The runtime library Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable v14 is required for the Facad program to work.
