    • Some new keyboard accelerators have been introduced for zooming and contrast/brightness adjustment.

  • New toolbars, icons and symbols
    • The symbols in toolbars and icons have been graphically enhanced.

  • Multiple language support
    • Facad 3 is completely prepared for several languages. Each user can easily select his/her preferred language.
      English, Swedish, Norwegian, and Finnish.
  • New Image/Tracing Manager
    • Visual overview (with image thumbnails) and management of a patient's images, tracings, treatment plans, and superimpositions.
  • Image Calibration
    • The routine for calibration of images has been improved. Now you first specify which calibration method you want to use, and after that you make the calibration according to your specification.
  • Image types
    • More differentiated image types have been introduced.
  • Image Viewer
    • In the new Image Viewer it is possible to view an image, adjust its brightness and contrast, calibrate the image, and perform interactive measurements without having to open or create a tracing.
  • Resize and Rotate
    • Resizing and rotation of graphic objects is now easily performed by adjusting resize corners and rotation handles:

  • Resize and rotate teeth.
  • Planned rotation of teeth and hard tissue segments.
  • Place and position the soft tissue profile line.
  • Cephalometric analysis
    • An analysis is now selected from a list of available analyses. There are two lists available; one for the standard analyses that come with Facad and one for the custom made analyses, the so-called local analyses.

    • Soft tissue profile prediction can now be turned on/off with just a checkbox.
  • Superimposition
    • A superimposition is now regarded as a special form of tracing. A superimposition is thus named and saved and will be found among other tracings.
    • New standard colors for included tracings in a superimposition.
    • Manual alignment of included tracings, using anatomical structures.
  • Plugin programs
    • The Sidexis-Facad plugin can now automatically calibrate lateral x-ray images from both Sirona Orthophos systems XG and DS/3DS.
    • The Dimaxis-Facad plugin can now correctly convert the birth dates that are exported from Dimaxis.
  • Miscellaneous
    • When entering decimal values, Facad now accepts both . and , as the decimal sign.
    • Send support messages, error reports and suggestions for new features directly to Ilexis AB from within the Facad program.
